- FULFILLMENT
Well, to say the least, it is not easy to keep all the items we love in stock at all times. Supplies are limited and we constantly are in touch with the companies to get stuff in ASAP. Provided the goods are in stock, skates and skateboards are shipped via next working day courier within the UK. If we are unable to ship your order within 96 hours of receiving it and its a stock item, we will contact you with the bad news. Please note this does not apply to pre orders, (designated pre order in the description) or non stock items with an expected delivery time. In all circumstances, your credit card is not charged until your order is ready to be shipped. We will update you by email when we think we can help get the item(s) you want.
- CREDIT-CARDS and DATA PROTECTION
We have recently been working to upgrade our secure online payment system and are pleased to announce that following testing we are now using the Protx payment Gateway to accept online orders. Protx is a fully approved payment processor with all major UK banks and was one of the first payment gateways to gain approval from the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard audit (approved by Visa and MasterCard). We accept Mastercard, Visa, Maestro, Solo and Switch. Your card will not be charged until the order is ready to be shipped.
Please note that your details are not passed to any third parties.
- RETURNS-POLICY
We will accept return merchandise within 14 days of receipt when it is in a NEW and UNUSED condition and with its original packaging. Returns are at your cost. We realise that Christmas is an exceptional period and as such we will accept returns up until the middle of January for items purchased as xmas presents. We will only accept packages that arrive with a Return Authorisation Number clearly marked on them. You may request a RA number by emailing us at Kate@kateskates.co.uk or phoning on 0845 345 73 72. All orders are shipped with Returns Forms which are self explanatory. If returning items to us we advise that you send them Parcel Force or regular mail, and obtain a CERTIFICATE OF POSTING from the Post Office. Sending items recorded or special delivery can prove to be very expensive.
When we are requested to assemble a complete setup skateboard, or fit the griptape, we will do so as carefully as possible but we cannot be held responsible for any scratches to the board which may occur. We can also not exchange a skateboard once it has been assembled as it is now no longer in its original packaging.
Due to the nature of the sport we will not replace broken skateboard decks.
This does not affect your statutory rights.
- MAIL-ORDERS

You may order by mail by printing your buy screen with items and shipping total and include a cheque or postal order for the total amount made payable to Kates Skates. Please note that we do wait a full 6 working days before dispatching your order to allow the cheque to clear. Mail both to: Kates Skates, 12-22 Dalkeith Street, Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria LA14 1SP. Send a cheque or postal order and we will process your order as soon as your cheque clears. If your order cannot be fulfilled immediately, your cheque will be returned to you by mail within 5 business days. Include your phone number on all mail orders. Include separate bill to and ship to addresses if they are different.
- DISCLAIMERS
Our catalogue images, descriptions and colours are subject to change and are for suggestion only. Actual appearances may be different and corrections may be made on final orders though we will not send a different product unless you agree to it. If you must have a specific colour where the option is not available, please include this in the comments. It is always our goal to ship the best merchandise at the best price possible.
- DELIVERY
All large packages are delivered via Business Post or City Link within mainland UK. Delivery outside the UK is via Airsure. All couriered items must be signed for, and delivery times cannot be specified. Smaller/lighter packages and UK parcels off the mainland are sent by 1st class Royal Mail or standard parcel service. All orders recived before 1pm on a working day are dispatched the same day provided goods are in stock and the payment is processed. Although goods are sent 1st class mail, please allow 5 working days before contacting us.
- PRICE-GUARANTEE
We do our best to stock the best products and to price our items competitively but do not make any claims or price guarantees. If you know of cheaper prices within the UK please email us with the details. Please shop until you are satisfied before ordering. Prices are subject to change at any time.
